TAC Open Tournaments - What's it all about?

Hertfordshire - 8/9 March
Exeter - 12/13 July cancelled
Essex - 2/3 August cancelled
East Yorkshire - 6/7 September
Leicestershire - 4/5 October
The main aim of the TAC Open Tournaments is to "show case" archery to the general public, thus raising awareness of, in our opinion, one of the best family orientated sports in the world. It is not to take away from what is already on offer from NFAS, EFAA and GNAS clubs, but to have something a little bit different. All dates for the 4 TAC Open Tournaments for 2008 are now confirmed.

Tournaments

The tournaments have been designed to be challenging for the archers and exciting for the spectators and we wanted to celebrate archery in its three main forms, so each tournament will consist of:

You can enter the Long Distance or Marked Distance rounds as many times as you like.  There are separate prizes for each event - so basically even more chance of winning.

Finally. the "Living Heritage Shooter of the Year will be run as a league over the four tournaments, taking your 3 best total combined scores from each event. So the more you enter the better your chance.  We’ve been promised some great trophies and there will be a cash payout to the top 8 archers in each section.

Venues

The Archery Company has negotiated a great deal with Living Heritage Events to allow our tournaments to run in conjunction with 4 of their Country Shows.  This immediately brings a potential 10,000 members of the public in contact with our sport. Book now so you don't miss out, space is limited and early booking ensures a discounted rate on these spectacular tournaments. The first one is on 8th and 9th of March at Knebworth House.

Prizes (in the region of £9000)

There will be an annual minimum prize fund to the value of £9000 in cash, vouchers and product, available to be won by all, spread over the 4 tournaments.  It won’t just be the top 3 who win.  So don’t miss out.
